Polarized vector oscillons

Oscillons are spatially localized, time-periodic, and long-lived configurations that were primarily proposed in scalar field theories with attractive self-interactions. In this paper, we demonstrate oscillons also exist the low-energy effective theory of an interacting massive (real) vector field. We provide two types vanishing orbital angular momentum, approximately spherically symmetric energy density, but not configurations. These are: (1) ``directional'' (linearly polarized), total intrinsic spin, (2) ``spinning'' (circularly polarized) a macroscopic spin equal to $\ensuremath{\hbar}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}$ number particles oscillon. contrast case only gravitational interactions, have different at fixed particle even nonrelativistic limit. By carrying out relativistic $3+1\mathrm{d}$ simulations, show these can be (compared oscillation time for fields), arise from range Gaussian initial spatial profiles. considerations make potentially relevant during early universe dark photon matter, novel phenomenology related their polarization.
